CLW Work and Health Programme for people with disabilities, health conditions and long-term unemployment

If you’re unemployed and you have a disability or health condition, but you’re looking to get back into work, the Central London Works (CLW) Work and Health programme is here to help you.

Balancing a health condition, whether it’s an injury, mental illness or chronic disease, with employment can be very overwhelming.

Our voluntary employment support programme helps you manage your health so that you can move closer to finding a job that pays a sustainable London Living Wage.

With over 20 tailored Sector Based Work Academies (SWBA), training and specialist health support on offer, we support people to get a job in sectors such as Hospitality, Customer Service, Construction, Administration and Business Management.

Work placement and support for people with disabilities or health conditions

CLW is the most successful work and health programme in the country. We work with you, offering health support as you begin your journey to employment. We’ve helped place people in roles that suit their needs.

From working in office-based jobs, to working in transport or hospitality, we’ve paired candidates with employers who will support them and help them thrive. We even help people become their own boss with specialist self-employment support.

If you have a disability or health conditions, find out about our Work and Health Programme can benefit you in your search for employment.

In the last 12 months* we’ve:

Placed more than 3,500 people in employment (that’s 61% of our candidates!)

Spent on average £180,000 per month supporting our participants with training courses and resources for work

*January 2021 – December 2021

I signed up for CLW after I was made redundant due to COVID-19 and never looked back.  I wanted to start my career in Construction and my caseworker Charmelle did everything to make this happen - she even found a training course to support my goals. Now, I feel complete and fulfilled in my career.
